Impacts of Stochastic Variation in Temperature and Food Availability on Life History, Physiological, and Behavioural Traits in a Juvenile Amphibian

This dataset accompanies an experimental study investigating how stochastic variation in temperature and food availability influences growth rate, resting metabolic rate (RMR), and exploratory behavior in juvenile Alpine newts (Ichthyosaura alpestris). Additionally, we assessed among-individual variation in acute thermal reaction norms (10–20?°C) for RMR and exploration to evaluate their potential roles in coping with environmental stochasticity.
