These registers record monthly payments made to Board members and staff under the control of the Board, eg. administrative, inspectorial, quarantine, Lazaret, abattoir, temporary and other staff. The temporary staff include ratcatchers, fumigators, scavengers and roadmakers. The volumes also record salaries of staff employed within the establishment of the Medical Adviser to the Government, later Government or Chief Medical Officer.
