Water Quality Portal (WQP)

The Water Quality Portal (WQP), maintained by the National Water Quality Monitoring Council, is the premiere online database of discrete water-quality data from over 400 state, federal, tribal, and local agencies for more than 2.7 million sites across the United States. It is a cooperative service that integrates water-quality data from the U.S. Geological Survey, National Water Information System and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Water Quality Exchange (formerly the STORET database), a data warehouse for water quality, biological, and physical data. An online query form is provided to search the available data and download results as comma delimited CSV files. The information may include locations where samples were collected or chemical (analytical data of collected samples), physical, and/or biological characteristics of surface water and/or groundwater depending on the user's input.由美国国家水质监测委员会（National Water Quality Monitoring Council）维护的水质数据门户（Water Quality Portal, WQP），是首屈一指的在线离散水质数据库，其数据源自全美400余个州、联邦、部落及地方机构，覆盖超过270万个监测点位。该项目为协同共建服务，整合了美国地质调查局（U.S. Geological Survey）的国家水信息系统（National Water Information System），以及美国环境保护署的水质交换平台（Water Quality Exchange，前身为STORET数据库）的数据——该平台是集水质、生物及物理数据于一体的专业数据仓库。平台提供在线查询表单，支持用户检索现有数据，并可将查询结果以逗号分隔值（Comma Separated Values, CSV）文件格式下载。根据用户的查询需求，返回的信息可涵盖采样点位信息，以及地表水和/或地下水的化学（即采集样本的分析数据）、物理及生物特性。
