Municipal water and energy services in South Africa (2021-2022)

An overview of the South African local municipalities’ involvement in providing water and energy services, focusing on how the free basic services (free basic water and free basic energy) are enforced. This dataset was created as part of a research project on spatial inequality in Water-Energy-Food (WEF) security in South Africa, the implications on public health and the impacts of climate change.
