资源简介:
The 'Electrolyser Cell' forms part of the Energy Box Outreach Activity. The Energy Box is an open-source resource for conducting outreach as part of schools visits, public engagement activities and festivals. The goal of the Energy Box is to showcase the future of energy technologies, from the materials to the device/technology level. The Electrolyser Cell is one of the activities contained within the Energy Box. The goal of the activity is that the user stacks up each component in the electrolyser to build a full cell. This is an exact replica of cells used in the research lab, so the user can understand some of the materials and engineering challenges for developing new electrolyser technologies. The files here are the required components for 3D printing the Electrolyser Cell. The colours of filament for each component is as follows:Anode catalyst layer (CL): Black - represents iridium catalyst.Anode porous transport layer (PTL): Silver - represents titanium.Anode end plate: whatever colour! This is an insulating layer.Anode PTL: Silver - represents titanium.Cathode CL: Black - represents platinum catalyst.Cathode PTL: Black - represents carbon fibreCathode end plate: whatever colour!Membrane: clear filament - represents polymerScrew (x4): silver. Four screws are needed for the design.Current collector (x2): gold - represents gold-coated copper. Two current collectors are needed, one each for anode and cathode.<br>
