To reveal the genetic basis of adaptive character divergence, the genomic sequences and transcriptomes are analyzed for ground beetle species involved in the genus Carabus subgenus Ohomopterus. The whole genome sequences are sequenced and assembled for Carabus uenoi and C. japonicus. The other species are also used for sequencing of the whole genome, mRNA, and restriction-site associated DNA.
