KGDB

KGDB is a curated database that contains current information regarding genes or genomic loci involved in human kidney disease. Currently,KGDB covers genes that have been reported in the scientific literature to be involved in a number of molecular, genetic, and epigenetic events occurred in the kidney such as gene amplification, mutation, gross deletion, polymorphism, loss of heterozygosity (LOH), microsatellite instability (MSI) methylation, and hypomethylation and and also covers genes that are exclusively expressed in kidney as shown by SAGE and EST analysis.KGDB是一个经人工精心整理的数据库，收录了与人类肾脏疾病相关的基因或基因组位点的最新研究信息。目前，KGDB涵盖了已在科学文献中报道的、参与肾脏多种分子、遗传及表观遗传事件的基因，这些事件包括基因扩增、突变、大片段缺失、多态性、杂合性缺失（loss of heterozygosity, LOH）、微卫星不稳定性（microsatellite instability, MSI）、甲基化及低甲基化；同时，该数据库还收录了经基因表达系列分析（Serial Analysis of Gene Expression, SAGE）与表达序列标签（Expressed Sequence Tags, EST）分析证实仅在肾脏中表达的基因。
