CESM-CAM4 model simulations

Climate model simulations with stratospheric nudging towards different stratospheric polar vortex states in the Southern Hemisphere, as described in the Geophysical Research Letters paper titled "The role of the stratospheric polar vortex for the austral jet response to greenhouse gas forcing".<br>The climate model is CESM version 1.2.2 with the atmospheric component CAM4. We use a high-top version of the model with 46 vertical levels. The native horizontal model resolution is 1.9 x 2.5 degrees (lat x lon).<br>The data are interpolated to a global T42 Gaussian grid on 17 standard pressure levels. <br>There are three experiments: BASE, EARLY and LATE, described in the paper. For each experiment there are two files:_month.nc contains monthly zonal-mean values of temperature (T) and zonal wind (U); _day.nc contains daily zonal-mean values of U at 50 hPa.
