TemBi-Effect of storm/disturbance event on pelagic lake bacterial communities

A summer storm was simulated by artificial mixing in large-scale lake mesocosms to study the effects of a summer storm on pelagic lake bacterial communites in a stratified lake during a period of ca. 6 weeks post artificial mixing. Artificial mixing homogenized water masses from the epilimnion and the upper metalimnion. Samples from the epilimnion and metalimnion are provided prior the mixing event. Only samples from the epilimnion are provided for the period post mixing.
