RV reducers are core components of modern industrial robots, and accurately and effectively monitoring the condition of their key internal components is crucial for ensuring the reliability of the entire mechanical system. RV reducers have a compact structure and numerous moving parts, resulting in highly complex vibration responses. To achieve precise monitoring of the health status of RV reducers, this study first established a vibration response signal model of the RV reducer based on kinematics and dynamics principles. Then, according to the characteristics of the established model, corresponding signal processing methods were proposed to extract vibration features that reflect the health status of each component. Experimental results verified the accuracy of the constructed model and the effectiveness of the proposed diagnostic methods. This study provides both a theoretical basis and practical methods for fault diagnosis and condition monitoring of RV reducers.
