VPRS 9511 Policy Files

These files are the policy files of the Teachers Tribunal. They record decisions made by the Tribunal which were important precedents that determined the pay and conditions of Victorian teachers. Each file contains details of one or more cases on a particular matter. Included is the application of the individual(s) to the Tribunal, supporting documentation for the application, claim, or appeal and a copy of the Tribunals decision. The decision is recorded in the form of a "minute" from the record of the Tribunals hearing. These policy files were segregated (by Teachers Tribunal Staff) from the greater sequence of case files. It is presumed that the files were segregated because they related to significant cases but it is not known how the Tribunal made the decision as to what was a significant precedent case.
