Base de données : Formations privées dans le champ des science(s) politique(s) en France

This database aims to document all private non-university higher education programs in political science, international relations, and public affairs in France, identified between June and July 2025. It aims to provide a structured, comprehensive, and critical view of a rapidly expanding sector, at the interface between higher education, vocational training, and the private education market. Each entry corresponds to a specific program offered by a private institution. The variables allow us to characterize the school, its status, profitability, whether it is affiliated with a group, its educational programs (work-study, mobility, languages, English-language programs), certifications (visa, RNCP, ECTS), admission requirements, tuition fees, as well as integration into public programs (Parcoursup, MonMaster). Specific indicators have also been integrated regarding market dynamics (LBOs, loyalty programs, partnerships, price increases). This database aims to support research on the transformation of French higher education, the emergence of a for-profit private sector, and contemporary forms of privatization of access to programs of excellence perceived as selective.
