In primary education in China, mathematics, science, and Chinese are commonly considered as the core subjects. This emphasis is primarily due to their significance in providing a strong foundation for students' overall academic development in their whole life. Mathematics cultivates logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and numerical proficiency, which are essential in various disciplines. Science education fosters scientific literacy, critical thinking, and an understanding of the natural world. Additionally, Chinese language education is crucial for communication, cultural understanding, and preserving the country's rich heritage. By prioritizing these subjects, China's national education authorities aims to equip its students with a well-rounded curriculum that prepares them for future academic and professional pursuits. The purpose of this study is to investigate whether current LLMs should be recommended and directly used as teaching aids in Chinese primary Schools. We thereby make two assumptions regarding the capabilities of qualified teaching aids: firstly, the qualified teaching aids should have the ability to accurately solve problems, and secondly, the qualified teaching aids should have the ability to provide a reasonable explanation of the problem-solving process. In addition, the NCSFCE are followed in the selection of test questions. Notably, the NCSFCE serve as guidelines for the content, objectives, and assessment of school education in China's compulsory education system. These standards aim to provide a comprehensive framework for the development of students' learning skills, scientific literacy, and cultural understanding. In this particular study, we have chosen the most significant ones, namely, Chinese, mathematics and science subjects for grades 1-6 in the curriculum standard.
