资源简介:
New Cambria Pty Ltd is the holder of Exploration Permit for Coal 2039 (EPC 2039), comprising 2 sub-blocks situated near the town of Bluff, some 20 km east of Blackwater in the Central Bowen Basin district of Queensland. New Cambria Pty Ltd is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stanmore Coal Limited.
Stanmore internally considers EPC 2039 as a part of the New Cambria Project which also consists of neighbouring Stanmore EPC’s 1113 & 2371. Regionally EPC 2039 has DNRM Project Status as part of the ‘Central Bowen Project’ which also includes Stanmore EPCs 1186, 1798, 1114, 1113, 2371, 2081, 1168, 1580, 1687 and 2157.
The objective within the New Cambria Project is the assessment of the area’s potential to host an economically viable PCI coal deposit, within the Rangal Coal Measures. A recent revision has seen a change in exploration focus to concentrating on the identification of smaller areas within the structurally complex environment that may host up-thrusted blocks of shallow coal, previously missed.
Within the New Cambria Project, work to date has included drilling and 2D seismic assessments and modelling. This work suggests that depths to the top of Rangal Coal Measures is likely to be >300 m BGL across the majority of the project area. It has also been determined that Rangal Coal Measures sequences dip variably, affected by faulting (and folding) but overall dip to the E and ENE.
During this reporting period EPC 2039 was renewed for a further 5 years and Stanmore completed a portfolio tenure assessment strategy. Within the next 3 years Stanmore will update the project with newly available data (potentially seismic), and possibly plan a new exploration program to be carried out. This will likely consist of a 2D seismic survey, drilling program, coal quality analysis, seismic processing and geological modelling.
