Citizenship, 2014, Norwegian part of ISSP

This survey is conducted on the basis of research collaboration in "The International Social Survey Programme" (ISSP). ISSP is an international organization that prepares and coordinates annual surveys in its member countries, mainly in the fields of political science and sociology. Theme for surveys varies, but the same theme is repeated every few years so that it becomes possible to measure both changes in patterns of behavior and attitudes over time, and differences between different countries and cultures.

Sikt became a member of ISSP in 1989 and has since been responsible for conducting surveys in Norway. In 2014 the survey was "Social Participation" (ISSP Citizenship II) completed. Theme in the survey is citizens' rights and duties, social participation, political and institutional trust, social capital and democracy. The survey was a partial replication of a similar survey in 2004.
