The SPEI Global Drought Monitor is a global drought monitoring system based on the Standardized Precipitation Evapotranspiration Index (SPEI). This database provides real-time global drought monitoring maps and data with a spatial resolution of 1 degree, as well as a 0.5-degree gridded SPEI dataset spanning from 1901 to the present. Users can download SPEI time series for specific locations or obtain the full dataset, which is applicable to a variety of natural and managed systems including crops, ecosystems, rivers and water resources.
