WAMSI Node 6.1 - Offshore and coastal engineering and the effects of climate change - Wave model (past and present)

This output is a wave model covering the Indian Ocean using the open source WAVEWATCH III (WW3) model. WW3 is the operational ocean wave prediction model of the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). This was run from 1990 to 1998 (ongoing) and this overlaps with measured data from off Rottnest Island.

The Simulating WAve iNshore (SWAN) model was also used at particular regions of the WA coastline and a very high resolution grid for Yanchep Lagoon was also used.

本数据集输出结果为一套基于开源WAVEWATCH III（WW3）数值模式构建的覆盖印度洋的海浪模拟结果。WW3是美国国家海洋和大气管理局（NOAA）业务化运行的海浪预报模式。该模拟时段为1990年至1998年（目前仍在持续运行），其模拟区间与罗特内斯特岛近海的实测海浪数据存在重叠。
研究同时针对西澳大利亚州（Western Australia，简称WA）沿岸特定区域采用了Simulating WAve iNshore（简称SWAN）近岸海浪模式，并为扬切普潟湖区域配置了超高分辨率计算网格。
