Outputs from models of the Gulf of Alaska, Salish Sea and Chesapeake Bay

This data archive contains outputs from 3-D numerical models of the Gulf of Alaska (Hauri et al. 2024), Salish Sea (MacCready et al. 2021) and Chesapeake Bay (St-Laurent et al. 2024). Specifically, the outputs contrast the surface carbonate chemistry conditions (alkalinity and partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2)) from the 3 regions over the months of year 2016. The outputs are provided in the NetCDF format, which is an open file format that can be exploited from a vast suite of programs and languages (Python, R, Matlab, Julia, GNU Octave...) with metadata (information about field dimensions, units...) directly embedded inside the NetCDF files.
