Accurate modeling of photovoltaic cells is essential for optimizing their performance and efficiency in solar energy systems. However, estimating the parameters of photovoltaic models remains challenging due to the nonlinear nature of their current–voltage (I–V) characteristics and the increased complexity of multi-diode models. This study addresses these challenges by employing the Improved Chaotic Evolutionary Optimization (ICEO) algorithm in conjunction with the Lambert W function to accurately estimate the parameters of the double-diode photovoltaic model using experimental I–V data.
