Sea trials of bioseine ropes
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains data on the performance and physical wear of bioseine ropes compared with conventional Danline ropes under sea-trial conditions. Tests were conducted over six months of use and 129 fishing sets between October 2025 and April 2026 on board a commercial demersal seine fishing vessel. The primary objective of the field trial was to evaluate the operational performance and durability of the bio-seine steel-core rope relative to a conventional Danline polyethylene (PE) / polypropylene (PP) blend steel-core rope serving as reference gear. Particular emphasis was placed on assessing abrasion, wear development, and overall functionality during normal fishing operations. The data includes caliper measurements, scanning camera measurements, rope stretch and visual inspection.
