Dataset of Observations and Geotechnical Modelling of Dune Erosion during a storm at Narrabeen Beach, Australia
收藏资源简介:
This data set presents LIDAR field measurements of dune erosion collected during a storm on 31 July 2024 at Narrabeen Beach, Australia, along with corresponding geotechnical modelling of dune face stability. The dataset includes: Raw LIDAR data Resampled dune and foreshore profiles Mean Water Level (MWL) and tide gauge data Swash time series and wave runup statistics Runup spectra Morphometrics and slump times See individual README files for more information on the collected data. Geotechnical modelling was performed using GeoStudio (v2024.1.0). Steady-state simulations were used to explore the temporal evolution of dune face stability resulting from morphological change driven by offshore sediment transport, while transient analyses explored the effect to slumping events of wave runup-groundwater interactions caused by wave-dune collisions. This dataset supports the findings presented in the related publication: “Observations and Geotechnical Modelling of Dune Face Erosion During a Storm (Narrabeen Beach, Australia”, submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surfaces.
