In 2021, gaming apps for iOS devices saw approximately 51.6 billion U.S. dollars in consumer spending from mobile users worldwide. Entertainment apps were the second most popular app category based on global consumer spending, with iOS users worldwide spending more than seven billion U.S. dollars on apps in this category. Photo and video apps generated 4.74 billion U.S. dollars in consumer spending on the Apple App Store.
