This series consists of Board recommendations from FINCOM to the Minister responsible for financial institutions; briefing papers from the Board outlining issues requiring the minister’s attention; comments and recommendations on proposed legislative change affecting financial institutions; copies of proposed changes to a Bill; copies of proposed Bills sent to the Minister after being reviewed, and if necessary, amended by FINCOM officers; and copies of Cabinet minutes. The files in this series also contain correspondence to the Treasurer and members of Parliament forwarded to FINCOM for comment and reply.
