This project aims to detect Phytophthora infestans in inoculated and healthy potato leaf tissues using Oxford Nanopore Technologies sequencing of ITS1-ITS4 amplicons. Samples were collected at different timepoints from two potato cultivars to assess the feasibility of this approach for quantifying the relative abundance of the pathogen.
