The Decision Aid for Lentigo Maligna was developed by members of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery with iterative feedback from patients. It contains evidence-based information regarding LM and various treatment modalities, including surgery, imiquimod 5%, radiation, as well as active surveillance. Treatment-specific information includes treatment efficacy, advantages and adverse effects, expected follow up, and estimated associated costs. The “things I might consider in my decision” section of the decision aid contains questions regarding lifestyle, comorbidities, social factors, and disease-related concerns.
