A new stable genetic model of mice that can provide a more human-like readout for assessing iNKT cell responses to specific activators in vivo was generated. The model improves on previously described humanized mouse models in terms of its ability to accurately assess the outcomes of iNKT cell-dependent immune responses, and has major practical advantages over other models in implementation and cost.
