CCC subset: Women in translation and print 1641-1660

<p>This dataset contains 175 entries from the Cultural Crosscurrents Catalogue of Printed Translations in Stuart and Commonwealth Britain 1641-1660 (<a href="http://crosscurrentscatalogue.ca/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">CCC</a>), documenting the agency of women (as authors, translators, stationers, dedicatees, or readers) in translations printed in Britain between 1641 and 1660.</p>

<p>The main bibliographical data (reference number, date, title, format, authorship, translatorship, languages) were extracted from the CCC. The dataset was manually enriched by Marie-Alice Belle and Marie-France Guénette to identify the various women involved in the production and circulation of printed translations in the period, and to document their specific forms of agency.  </p>
