Root-knot nematode (RKN; Meloidogyne spp.) is the most destructive universal crop pathogen. Root-knot nematode infections especially caused by Meloidogyne incognita are one of the most serious diseases of tuberose cultivation. To investigate the molecular mechanism essential for the host-pathogen interactions, comparative transcriptome analysis using illumina NextSeq 500 platform was employed to generate transcriptome profiles of the nematode infected and uninfected tuberose, during a time course infection (Early infection phase, mid phase, and late infection phase) by Meloidogyne incognita.
