The Impact of Artificial Intelligence Art on Freelance Digital Art Among Students

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has brought significant changes to the digital art industry, including opportunities for freelance students who are digital artists. This study examines the impact of AI-generated art (AI Art) on freelance digital art students in Indonesia, focusing on the influence of AI tools on creativity, productivity, and user acceptance. A quantitative research approach was applied through a survey of 297 students who have used AI Art tools. The research model includes variables such as Performance Expectation, Effort Expectation, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Perceived Anxiety, and Perceived Risk, analyzed using Smart PLS and the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method.

The study results show that AI Art provides benefits such as improved efficiency, accessibility, and creative exploration, but also presents challenges such as ethical issues, potential job reductions, and perceived risks. Despite skepticism, AI Art is widely accepted by students due to its ability to simplify tasks and expand artistic possibilities. This research provides insights into the adoption and impact of AI Art on freelance students in Indonesia’s creative industry.
