When Indicators Diverge: Sectoral Heterogeneity in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Measurements
收藏资源简介:
This repository contains the data and code used in the paper “When Indicators Diverge: Sectoral Heterogeneity in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Measurements”. The study benchmarks 92 entrepreneurship and innovation indicators from five measurement frameworks (GEM, EIS, GII, World Bank EDPWB, OECD Financing SMEs) against sectoral GVA per capita (PPP-adjusted, constant prices) for 37 OECD economies (2005–2023). The package includes: A harmonized country–sector–year panel dataset used in the empirical analysis (OECD; Israel excluded due to data limitations). (Online Appendix: Table A1) Complete metadata for all 92 indicators and the 29 macro controls (definitions, units, sources- Online Appendix: Table A2), Python script to reproduce: data preparation, framework-specific LASSO screening, fixed-effects estimation, FDR (Benjamini–Hochberg) adjustment, robustness checks, and figure/table generation. Outputs provided for transparency and replication: LASSO diagnostics by measurement framework (Online Appendix: Table A3). Full regression results for all specifications (Online Appendix: Table A4). Robustness and sensitivity results by framework (Online Appendix: Table A5). The empirical analysis is descriptive and evaluates empirical alignment (not causal effects) between national E&I indicators and sectoral value creation.
