The average annual expenditure on renting, streaming, and downloading video per consumer unit in the United States reached over 140 U.S. dollars in 2022, almost four times the figure recorded for 2017. Average consumer expenditure has continued to grow, and with many U.S. consumers exhibiting an ever-increasing and almost insatiable need for streamed and downloaded video content, it can be expected that growth will continue in years to come.
