Kite collaborators celebrating heart

Corinna Peterken and Gloria Quinones Making research with Poscas and hands reaching over the paper squares and kite fabric. Bright peacocking emerges, heart outstretched to be noticed. Imagining how there might be embodied learning with art and heart as hands work together and allow “simultaneous use of language, images, materials, situations, space and time” (Irwin & Springgay, 2008, p.xix). Then…some wind and support beneath and around, kite soaring and crashing and twirling. Heart flies up, across, between and down, gathering threads of sky writing from kite bodies, tails and strings sharing hope and care in relation with children and pedagogy. Kite/sky/research/researchers are becoming a provocation to co-create as artist/researcher/teachers with hope for these sky patterns to form joyful collaborative spaces and invitations to join a celebration of learning and becoming.
