This dataset is derived from a large-scale retrieval of patent metadata on <i>e-business in entrepreneurship</i> collected from Lens.org. The dataset spans the period 1976–2024 and captures global patenting activity related to digital business innovation within entrepreneurial contexts. The collection contains 58,830 individual patent records presented in CSV format to ensure broad interoperability across analytical environments.The dataset includes structured bibliographic fields that reflect the lifecycle of patent documents. These fields cover jurisdiction, patent kind, Lens ID, publication date, publication year, application number, application date, priority numbers, and earliest priority date. Descriptive information is also provided through fields such as title, abstract, applicants, inventors, and owners. Additional fields support advanced patent analytics, including document type, full-text availability, citation data, simple and extended patent families, family jurisdictions, sequence counts, CPC classifications, IPCR classifications, and US classifications.Non-patent literature (NPL) citation fields are included to enable examination of scientific and technological linkages. Legal status indicators appear throughout the records to support assessments of protection trajectories associated with digital business inventions. The dataset is structured to accommodate patent landscape methodologies commonly used in innovation studies, entrepreneurship research, and intellectual property analysis. All metadata is traceable to its original source through persistent Lens.org URLs, which strengthens verification and reproducibility.This dataset serves as a comprehensive resource for mapping global intellectual property trends in entrepreneurial e-business. It enables researchers to explore technological pathways, regional patterns, and emerging clusters of digital innovation. Its structure supports a wide spectrum of analytical approaches across patent analytics, entrepreneurship, and digital-economy research.
