Industry breakdown of PPSR registrations

The Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) is the single, national online database of security interests in personal property in Australia. Personal property generally includes all forms of property other than land, buildings and fixtures. Buyers can check the PPSR to see if the valuable second-hand goods they want to buy are debt-free and safe from repossession. Businesses selling on terms, such as retention of title or consignment, or leasing, renting or hiring out valuable goods can register their security interest on the PPSR. \r\n\r\nThis dataset was specially created by AFSA for GovHack 2016. It contains the number of new registrations on the PPSR by ANZSIC industry division and subdivision.\r\n\r\nAFSA sourced the Industry information from the Australian Business Register (ABR). To do this, AFSA used the Australian Company Number (ACN) to match records. To protect privacy, AFSA assigned each ACN a random number instead of showing the actual ACN.\r\n\r\nThis data is a subset of overall PPSR registrations created. It solely includes registrations created by organisational secured parties that have registered on the PPSR with an ACN. \r\n\r\nPlease refer to that guide for more information. 本数据集由澳大利亚金融安全局（Australian Financial Security Authority，简称AFSA）为2016年GovHack大赛专门打造，收录了按澳大利亚和新西兰标准行业分类（Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification，简称ANZSIC）行业大类及小类划分的PPSR新增登记数量。

AFSA的行业信息源自澳大利亚商业登记册（Australian Business Register，简称ABR），并通过澳大利亚公司编号（Australian Company Number，简称ACN）完成记录匹配。为保护隐私，AFSA为每个ACN分配了随机编号，而非直接展示原始ACN。

本数据为全部PPSR登记信息的子集，仅涵盖以ACN在PPSR完成登记的机构担保方所提交的登记申请。
