ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE VORONEZH REGION IN THE ХIХ CENTURY

<b>The article (dataset) examines the economic situation of the Voronezh province in the XIX century. It is shown that the Voronezh province was a typical agricultural area. The overwhelming majority of the inhabitants of the province (about 96%) were engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry. The development of these branches of the economy was favored by the presence of Chernozem soil, which had a high natural fertility, and also the abundance of haymaking pastures. Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the Voronezh province was relatively close to the densely populated industrial centers of the country, which showed a significant demand for bread and other agricultural products.</b>
