Lac des Iles, SK - June 29, 2019 - Aerial

Two tornadoes and one downburst developed in the Meadow Lake, SK area, in and around Lac des Iles on June 29, 2019. The aerial imagery shows the damage from the Lac des Iles tornado that caused significant tree damage and tracked through Murray Doell Campground, as well as a downburst that caused significant tree damage on Misikitew (Big) Island and Lauman's Landing. The second tornado developed over the lake and caused no confirmed damage. A ground survey was conducted July 1-3, 2019 and an aerial survey was conducted in late September, 2019. The Lac des Iles campground tornado had a path length of 14.8 km and a max width of 1570 m. Event Investigation Map
