Seasonal variation in the risk of cuckoo parasitism does not influence nest defense and egg rejection in the Daurian redstart (Phoenicurus auroreus)

This study was carried out in March-August 2022-2024 in Liuzhi District (22°13′ N, 106°42′ E), Guizhou, Southwestern China. The study area belongs to the northern temperate monsoon climate zone, with an altitude of 1070.89–1657 m. Its main landscape type consists of a mosaic of villages, cultivated land, scrub forests, and barren slopes (Zhong et al. 2023).Supplementary material (Video S1-S6) and data used in this study (Data Table S1-S3) are available at figshare.
