Laguna Lake surface water Metagenome

Laguna Lake, the largest freshwater lake in the Philippines, is known to harbor antibiotic-resistant bacteria. However, the antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) present in the lake remain poorly characterized, highlighting the need for a comprehensive assessment of its resistome. To address this, we applied shotgun metagenomics to profile and characterize the ARGs in Laguna Lake.
