Annotated Datasets of Italian Deverbal Nouns with Suffixes -ZIONE, -MENTO, and -ATA

Three morphologically annotated datasets of Italian derived nouns, one for each of the suffixes -ZIONE (3,274 entries), -MENTO (2,092 entries), and -ATA (409 entries). Nouns were extracted from the itTenTen16 corpus via Sketch Engine and annotated manually following the morpheme-based scheme of Talamo et al. (2016) for the derIvaTario lexicon, extended here to include the suffix -ATA. Each entry is annotated for derivational base type, word-formation processes (affixation, conversion, parasynthesis), morphotactic transparency (MT1–MT8), and morphosemantic transparency (MS1–MS3b). The annotation was performed entirely by the author as part of an MA thesis at the University of Pisa (2020). Full documentation of the annotation scheme is provided in the README file.
