Danish Longitudinal Survey of Youth - Children (DLSY-C), 2010

In May 1968 researchers interviewed 3100 teenagers, who were all around 14 years old and in the seventh grade. A parent and a grandparent of the respondents also participated in the survey. The respondents in the 1968-survey have been interviewed repeatedly the next 40 years. This makes the respondents of this survey the “third generation” of the Danish Longitudinal Survey of Youth. Only a few studies examining families over three generations are available. This type of study offers a unique insight into the life of the individual, including education, career and family life and intergenerationality. All the children of the first respondents who are 14 years or older, have been interviewed.
