This dataset is used to examine the relationship between environmental regulation and industrial structure upgrading across 30 provinces in China, with a focus on the moderating role of green technology innovation. It also investigates the spatial spillover effects of environmental regulation on industrial structure upgrading among different regions, applying the Spatial Durbin Model. Key findings include: (i) Environmental regulation exhibits an "inverted U-shaped" impact on industrial structure upgrading; (ii) Green technology innovation positively moderates this relationship; (iii) China's industrial structure upgrading shows significant spatial agglomeration, with notable spatial spillover effects across provinces.
