A price survey conducted in Sapporo City supermarkets for 1kg of strawberries revealed that the average price in May 2024 was 2,503 yen. The price of 1kg of strawberries in Sapporo City is 485 yen higher than the national average. Over the period from January 2015 to May 2024 (a span of 59 months), the highest price for strawberries in local supermarkets was recorded in December 2023 at 2,779 yen, while the lowest price was in April 2015 at 1,438 yen. The price difference between the peak (December 2023) and trough (April 2015) periods for strawberries in the Sapporo City area is 485 yen.
