Transcriptomic profiling of peripheral blood cells in HPV-associated carcinoma patients receiving combined valproic acid and avelumab

We recruited 39 samples of metastatic HPV-associated carcinoma patients before and after immunotherapy (Combined Valproic acid + Avelumab). Based on the best overall response by iRECIST criteria, we stratified patients into Responders (iCCR, iCPR, iSD) and Non-responders (Clinically progressive, iCPD, iUPD). We analyzed the transcript differential expression in two groups (Rs vs. NRs) before (Baseline) and after therapy (EP) to understand the differences between the two groups in each time point and in time points (C1, C2, EP) compared to C0 for each group to check the changes related to therapy. Overall design: A total 39 samples of isolated Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs) from HPV-associated carcinoma patients, including Baseline (Before initiation of treatment), Cycle1 (Valproic acid), Cycle2 (Valproic acid + Avelumab), Cycle6/7 (Valproic acid + Avelumab, End of treatment) were analyzed for differential transcript expression.
