The sequence data of the African horse sickness virus core-like particle (CLP) that binds to Culicoides sonorensis cells

Dataset underpinned MSc dissertation titled ‘Importance of an arginine-glycine-aspartic acid (RGD) motif in the VP7 protein of African horse sickness virus (AHSV) to mediate insect cell binding.’ The nucleotide sequence and amino acid-derived sequences for the AHSV-4 VP3 gene and AHSV-4 sVP7 and mutated sVP7 genes, where the RGD motif was mutated to AGD, HLE, and KGE.
