STUDIES is a novel speech corpus designed for developing friendly speech agents, co-created by The University of Tokyo and LINE Corporation. This dataset contains dialogues simulated by three professional actors, totaling approximately 8.2 hours. It aims to enhance the empathic expression of speech agents by simulating teacher-student interactions. The dataset was developed using crowdsourcing methods to ensure the diversity of dialogue content and emotional labels. STUDIES is primarily utilized to improve the natural conversation capabilities of speech agents, particularly in understanding and responding to user emotions.
