AI Literacy Questionnaire data

This dataset contains anonymized responses to a questionnaire on AI literacy and related psychological and educational concepts among university students. The data were collected as part of the long-term initiative Tracking AI Literacy in Higher Education, coordinated by the FITPED consortium (https://fitped.eu), aimed at promoting digital competences in education.The questionnaire contains 10 concepts: AI literacy, AI readiness, AI anxiety, self-confidence, career motivation, behavioral intention, social goods, intrinsic motivation, satisfaction, and perceived relevance in AI. These concepts were adapted from a validated instrument originally published by Dai et al. (2020) in Sustainability, with minor modifications for broader international applicability. Each item was measured on a 5-point Likert scale (ranging from “strongly disagree” to “strongly agree”).The target population was university students from a variety of majors, levels of study, and countries. Participation was voluntary and no personal identifiers were collected. Data were collected in accordance with ethical guidelines for research involving humans. Informed consent was obtained from all participants and the study received approval from the ethics committee of the lead institution - UKF Ethics Committee.The dataset is intended to serve as a basis for future comparative and longitudinal analyses. It may also support cross-cultural studies and comparisons of students’ readiness for AI in education and society.
