The study goal is to identify genomic clusters of Ae. aegypti mosquitoes within South Florida. Genomics at the population level contributes to this bridging as it offers valuable knowledge on the evolution of recent genomic duplication trajectories such as the insecticide locus and fine-scale mapping of introgression. This knowledge may allow vector control to look into the prediction of putative routes of gene-flow mediated resistance to insecticides.
