Qualitative Interview Dataset and Codebook: Algorithmic Due Process in Policing (2023–2024)

This dataset supports the article “Algorithmic Due Process in Policing: Contestability, Oversight, and Procedural Justice in Algorithmically Mediated Enforcement.” The repository contains structured documentation relating to a qualitative socio-legal study examining how algorithmic decision-support systems reshape police discretion, contestability mechanisms, and institutional oversight structures across three jurisdictions (England & Wales, the Netherlands, and Indonesia) during the period 2023–2024. The empirical component of the study is based on 24 semi-structured interviews with frontline police officers, supervisory officials, senior policy actors, civilian oversight representatives, and civil society stakeholders. To ensure confidentiality and protect participants involved in sensitive law enforcement contexts, full interview transcripts are not publicly available.
