Supporting Datasets for "Women in Software Development: A Rapid Review and Taxonomy of Interrelated Barriers"
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides the supporting research materials for the rapid review Women in Software Development: A Rapid Review and Taxonomy of Interrelated Barriers. The dataset comprises two complementary spreadsheets: 1. Study Screening Documents the identification, screening, and selection of secondary studies. The main Scopus search, conducted on March 10, 2026, retrieved 576 English-language publications from 2023 to 2025. One additional foundational study published in 2022 was included through supplementary selection. The spreadsheet contains bibliographic records, eligibility assessments, inclusion and exclusion decisions, supporting justifications, and the final list of 17 included studies. 2. Evidence Extraction and Barrier Taxonomy Documents the qualitative evidence extraction and coding process conducted on the 17 included secondary studies. The spreadsheet contains 348 extracted evidence items, study identifiers, content classifications, barrier codes, operational definitions, and a study-by-barrier matrix. The synthesis produced a taxonomy comprising six dimensions and 13 barrier subcategories addressing women's participation, retention, and advancement in software development. Individual evidence items may be associated with multiple barrier codes when distinct but related barriers are described. The datasets provide a transparent and traceable record of the study selection, evidence extraction, and taxonomy development processes. Together, they support the synthesis of gender-related barriers across software development contexts and enable further examination, reuse, and refinement of the proposed analytical framework.
