资源简介:
This study addresses the metaorganism concept, focusing on the co-evolutionarily entangled interplay between human ABCC11 gene non-synonymous SNP rs17822931 and the axillary microbiome impact on binary phenotype states of osmidrosis. Adult subjects were genotyped for ABCC11 SNPs and analyzed alongside their axillary microbiome profiles from 16S rRNA gene sequencing, correlating with bacterial predicted metagenome functions. The study results provide a model of the interactions involving the SNP haplotypes with expression of the osmidrosis phenotype, as influenced by the ABCC11 gene and reflected in the microbiome community composition. Our findings provide insights into Homo sapiens evolutionary biology, population ancestry, and potential for applications in precision medicine, emphasizing the metaorganism mutualism relationship engaging functional genomics of humans with anthropogenic bacteria.
